Crescent enjoys a unique position as both mold-builder and molder, allowing us to anticipate and avoid potential problems while still in the design phase. Utilizing early customer involvement, we can provide alternatives that optimize tool cost, part cost, and lean manufacturability based on customer specification. These alternatives include looking at existing parts, machined or cast, to determine if injection molding will result in significant savings. We review new projects to determine if small changes will result in significant savings. This may involve a change in the way we approach the tooling or require us to invest in equipment or software not currently in our facilities.
