Insert Injection Molding

Insert molding, a manufacturing process that uses advanced injection molding technology to combine diverse thermoplastic and metal components into a single finished part.  This metal insert can be placed in the mold either by hand or automatically.  Then when the plastic is injected into the mold it fills in the features around the insert, creating an incorporated assembled component.  These components are typically more tightly secured in the plastic resin which helps improve part reliability and improved resistance to shock and vibration.

At Crescent Industries, we manufacture the inserts as well as performing the insert injection molding process eliminating the need for multiple vendors for this service.  Our experienced engineers will guide you through all the steps of the insert molding process from designing a prototype, building a mold to production.
